As an artist, I begin quietly, sitting with my choice of materials — in this case, teabags, ink, gesso, waxed linen thread, and vintage sheet music — then wander through the process.

I want to lead the viewer's attention to the subtle colors and textures so that familiar things are seen with new eyes. Perfectly imperfect, lightly tattered and torn, reminiscent of an ancient wall hanging. Made with a sense of appreciation for the past reimagined in the present. A modern relic.

The teabag assemblage is suspended by a metal rod which allows a bit of waft and light and shadow to add to the experience of the art.

This item measures 16” x 16” x 2".

I am selling this item as shown. The frame, assembled by Bara Woodshaping, is made of birch and has been wired on the rear. It is ready to hang and enjoy.

The piece is signed on the back next to the framer's logo.
