This is Not a Pear

$14.95

This Is Not a Pear sits somewhere between a written meditation, a gestural drawing, and a watercolor painting.

Black calligraphic gestures weave across a field of warm ivory, circling a translucent wash of ochre, peach, and gold. The writing slips between language and abstraction, becoming a record of movement rather than a message to be deciphered. At the center, a softly formed shape hints at something familiar without ever declaring itself.

This Is Not a Pear explores the distance between words and things, between what we see and what we believe we recognize. The writing seems to insist on meaning, while the central shape remains free of definition. This gives the piece both an intellectual playfulness and a quiet, contemplative quality.
