iPhoneography with Bob Weil

iPhoneography with Bob Weil

Mobile art master Bob Weil will show you how to create extraordinary photo art with nothing but your iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, or Tablet!

Make Art in L.A. is all about live workshops...but THIS is the exception to the rule. It's an online workshop and since you'll only need one "material" – your smartphone or tablet – there's simply no need for a physical classroom.

"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more." The imagery you'll be creating aren't just snapshots. They're not even really photos any more. They are artistic compositions, and you may just find that you want to release these beauties from their digital reality, print and frame them, include them in your handbound books and journals, and/or use them in your studio creations.

Because after all is said and done, this is most definitely ART.

Lifetime access, satisfaction guaranteed...it doesn't get much better than that!

Bob Weil's iPhoneography work has been exhibited at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in California and the Darkroom Gallery in Vermont. Five of his photos were recognized in the 2012 Mobile Photo Awards and shown at the Soho Gallery for Digital Art in New York City. Ten images were accepted to the Los Angles Mobile Arts Festival in Santa Monica in 2012. A number of Bob's pieces were projected on floor-to-ceiling screens during the iPhone photography track at the 2013 MacWorld/iWorld conference. Bob was selected as an iPhone 2013 Photographer of the Year by the IPhone Photography Awards (IPPA) and was an American Aperture Awards juror that same year. Twelve of his collages were hung at the Alexander Brest Museum in Jacksonville, Florida, in September–October 2013 as part of an invitation-only iPhone art exhibition.

Bob is a frequent speaker and writer on iPhone photographic processes and techniques and co-wrote (with Nicki Fitz-Gerald) The Art of iPhone Photography: Creating Great Photos and Art on Your iPhone (Rocky Nook Books, 2013). He currently co-manages iPhoneographyCentral.com with Nicki, a source for iPhoneography learning resources.
